I actively pursue these interests as a language engineer in tech, where I take a quantitative, data-driven approach to solve a variety of language-mediated UX problems in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing and voice user interface.

Proficiency in designing and conducting surveys, interviews, experiments and corpus studies to test research ideas, validate hypotheses, learn more about users and iterate often.
Ability to analyze not only (un)structured categorical and continuous data via complex statistical methods such as regression, but also waveforms, spectrograms and more.
Knowledge of R, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RegEx, Unix, LaTeX and other programming languages at different levels of proficiency for data processing, analysis and visualization.
10+ years of experience in teaching, presenting and writing in a variety of genres for both academic and non-academic audiences in the US, Europe and South America.
